An NGO exists solely for the benefit of the people and it is for this reason that NGOs are called nonprofit organizations as well. The NGOs do generate profits, but they are solely meant to be reused again for the welfare of the community. Such NGOs are formed by the voluntary associations of different people who want to work for the benefit of the society by analyzing the needs and prioritizing them.   • A very critical role of an NGO is also to promote tolerance, diversity and humanity in the people of the community.
  • The duty of NGO is also to strengthen and support the local people in the protection of their religious beliefs and culture.
  • One of the rarest but an important role of an NGO is to provide necessary support in the advancement of science and technology.
  • They are also required to raise awareness about the communal issues in front of the governmental authorities and other wealthy groups and individuals to encourage them for making generous donations for the cause. For fund raising, NGOS organize a lot of programs according to the dynamics and needs of the local community.
  • Several awareness programs are organized by NGOs which are aimed at giving awareness to the locals about education and different income strategies.
  • NGOs participate actively in all sorts of emergency and disastrous situations.
