Rural Transformation through Mission Heal

A greater percentage of citizens in India are living in poverty; that is according to the latest statistics on the country’s poverty level. This is the case with many countries of the world which has necessitated the respective governments to put in place various strategies and schemes that will help boost the quality of life for all needy members in the society. However, such schemes face stiff challenges such as corruption so they never get to see the light of the day. Mission Heal among other non-profit organization has thus come out with an equal measure to help improve the quality of life for the citizens.

This organization is basically formed by volunteers and well wishers with a big heart to donate and fund various resources needed to help raise the standards of living for the concerned groups in society. The following areas are thus considered of great concern in providing necessary support;
  • Housing- there are many people living in abject poverty in the slums. The conditions here are never friendly more especially when natural calamities strike such as floods which wash away homes of people leaving them depressed and without help. The trust has come in handy almost on a yearly basis to help these families at least have a roof over their heads.
  • Health- this is a critical area in people’s lives and Mission Heal is determined to ensure a healthy working nation through the supply and provision of medical services and facilities. Many families in India are not privileged enough to afford medical checkups and treatment which lead to untimely deaths which could otherwise be prevented. The main objective in Mission Heal is to boost the quality of life and that entails preventing such deaths by ensuring all members of society get access to medical facilities any time they want.
  • Food- among the basic needs, food is one that not all families are lucky enough to afford. Some families are not even lucky to put three meals on the table per day, which has led to emaciation by the individuals. Mission Heal has come out to help such families with relief food so that they can sustain their lives.
  • HIV/Aids prevention and care- the infected members are usually left in isolation due to their condition which makes them more depressed. These people need care and attention just like the normal counterparts, but many tend to distance themselves from them. Mission Heal is determined to remove trauma and depression from the patients by being close and concerned about their welfare at all times.
  • Gender inequality issues- women for a long time have been considered as the weak members and thus sidelined in important development matters. This kind of inequality is among the many challenges facing the society. Mission Heal is here to help resolve such issues to make the society a better place for all people regardless of their gender.
Rural transformation may seem hard and tasking, but Mission Heal is determined to bring about the change that ensures all people live in better conditions. The basic needs are at the core of the organization’s agenda and through various campaigns, many people have been lifted to better living standards through Mission Heal.
